Stimuli Analysis
Quinoa by David Lynch (2007)
Quinoa is a motion picture about cooking quinoa, however how he filmed it is quite unusual. His suit is another element that completed Quinoa. With its black and white filter, It gives a vintage and old movie feeling for the audience and it feels more dramatic moreover intense. Interestingly, he talked about his trip through Yugoslavia and sugar water which is the highlight of the video for the viewers. It is pretty entertaining for the viewers.
Scarred for life by Tracey Moffatt (1994)
Scarred for life is a series of pictures about the small traumatic experiences of our life and as its name suggests moments of humiliation that leave a scar in our life. It is "set in environments the very ordinariness of which contributes to the dramatic tension." (Art Gallery NSW, 2007).  Each image represent a familial drama which is horrifying and amusing at the same time. Moffatt used photolithography (which was the most common form of printing used in newspapers and magazines in the 19th and 20th centuries) to print the pictures in faded colors, adding to their ephemeral effect.
